Brooksipep is now a true allrounder, Craig and Belinda have been showing him in everything from cutting to challenges, led classes, western pleasure and reining. Brooksipep has won or placed in all events shown. Our plan for 2009 is to concentrate on showing Brooksipep as a cutting horse, however we recongnise it is important to keep campdrafting him as well because of the large interest we had last breeding season in breeding campdraft horses.

Brooksipep was bred by John Ward and Craig watched him being started while he worked in California. Brooksi was trained as a cutting horse and was booked in to show at the Fort Worth Futurity, where only the best potential cutting horses start their show career. Leading up the Futurity, Brooksipep suffered an injury to his suspensory ligament, which forced him to have a considerable amount of time off and he was scratched from Forth Worth as a result. Craig restarted his training at Jerry and Darlene Vollmer place. Brooksipep was then imported to Australia when Craig moved home in 2007.

Brooksipep is lovely natured and is a gentle giant. We have even had children ride him. His progeny are showing great potential, are very smart and exceptional types.

Ramble True

Rambler KD Acres has been a very successful horse, he has won and placed in over 50 campdrafts, won and placed in over 30 junior and senior Stockmans and ASH Challenges. Won Champion and reserve champion led ASH and QH. He has also won Register of Merit and Superior Award in Campdrafting.

Rambler KD Acres was bred by Len (dec) and Norma Whitley of Monto QLD, from their highly successful campdraft and Challenge mare Caddy James. When Caddy was a young foal she staked herself which resulted in puncturing her lung. Len stitched her up with her mothers tail and she then went on to being a very successful Champion. Norma Whitley (the breeder of Marnies Destiny, Marnies Ace, Rambler Marnies Command) has been breeding horses for over 40 years and believes the Caddy James line of horses are the best she has bred.

Then Rambler KD Acres was purchased by Peter and Robyn Lamont of Bundaberg Qld. Peter broke KD in and started him on cattle. I first saw KD at Biggenden Campdraft and I approached Pete and inquired about KD and is breeding ect. 1 month later we bought him after twisting Pete and Robyn’s arm to sell him to us. We have not once regreted buying him.

KD is a very honest horse with a big heart like is mother. He is an outstanding horses, lovely movement and a big stopping horse. He has a bad injury to his offside fetlock from his mother kicking him when he was a foal at Norma Whitley’s. Even though KD has this bad injury it has never stopped him and any sport.

His progeny are showing very high potential. 2yo filly Stockhaven Rainy Acres winning Chinchilla ASH Futurity also the Kilkivan Futurity. Stockhaven Rainy Acres was the 2008 Runner up ASH 2yo. KD has thrown foals with superb conformation and lovely natures with cow sence. Maturing around the 15Hh mark.
